On the inside, the new Swift has a more appealing and upmarket look to it. Ahead of the driver, there’s a flat-bottomed steering wheel, while the instruments have an almost Alfa-esque design. In the centre there are rotary climate control dials, a large touchscreen infotainment display, and circular air vents.

Although it’s hard to see in the photo below, the new Swift can be specified with a swathe of body-coloured plastic across the dashboard.
