Mercedes-Maybach makes its grand entry into the UAE

On 3rd March 2015, at the 7th Dubai International Boat Show, Gargash Enterprises unveiled the newest chapter in the Mercedes-Benz legacy: the Mercedes-Maybach. Continuing where it left off in 2011, the ultra-luxurious German marque is back stronger than ever to get its fair share of the market.

Stylistically, the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 still remains identifiable as an S-Class, albeit one that is embellished with fine touches both, inside and out. Dimensionally, the Maybach stands 207mm longer than the model it’s based on, with the added room simply used to heighten rear seat comfort. However, in the process of merely stretching the wheelbase, none of the S-Class’ grandeur has been lost; if at all, it’s only been heightened.
Piano Black trim, plush contrasting leather, and brushed aluminium embellish the cabin. In addition to reclining rear seats, dual infotainment displays and tray tables, the cabin is home to thermo cup holders – cup holders that possess the ability to either heat or cool drinks, over periods of time.

On the performance front, the Maybach isn’t lacking any Go to match its Show. Fitted with a 6.0 litre V12 bi-turbo powerhouse that whips out 530 horsepower and 830 Nm of torque, the German sleeper sprints to the 100 km/h mark in 5.0 seconds, before continuing to its electronically limited 250 km/h top speed. Impressive, when you keep in mind that the luxury sedan tips the scales at nearly 2,500 kilograms.
At the launch, Mr. Wasim Derbi, Marketing Manager – Gargash Enterprises said, “With the launch of the S 600 Maybach, we’re definitely adding an extra highlight in the luxury segment; one that will stir the automotive market exactly how we have imagined it to.”
Available in two variants (self-drive and chauffeur-drive) with a starting price of AED 850,000, the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 is the epitome of German luxury, and quite frankly, you’ve got to have pockets lined with gold to experience it
