It was the annual Beaulieu National Motor Museum ‘Custom Car and Hot Rod Festival’ in England on Sunday; part of a larger weekend’s celebration of all things with enormous engines and flaming paint jobs. Few things lift the spirits like a massive V8 on an outing, and you still needed sunglasses for all the chrome, so there were big crowds despite the ever-present threat of the British summer. Yes. Rain. And with every visitor also getting access to the Beaulieu museum proper - including the ever expanding World of Top Gear and the current Bond in Motion exhibition - included in their ticket, few can have left disappointed. Here are a few of our favourite examples of the hot rods and custom cars on display in 2013.
