Nissan Juke Nismo arrives in Europe

First seen as a concept at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, the Nissan Juke Nismo made its global debut in production form at the Le Mans 24-Hour Race in June 2012. It was seen again at the Paris Motor Show in September and is on sale now in Europe.
Production of the Nissan Juke Nismo is well underway at Nissan's production facility in Sunderland, UK. Teams of highly experienced engineering and manufacturing teams have integrated the first of the new Nismo models on existing production lines.
The bold design features of Nissan Juke Nismo have required some modifications at the plant, for production of the unique front and rear bumpers plus other elements of the new, more aerodynamic body. Since its launch in 2010, more than 330,000 Jukes have been built at the Sunderland factory, where Nissan also manufactures the Note, Qashqai and Qashqai+2.

The Juke Nismo features a more aerodynamic body kit, driver-focused interior upgrades and a more powerful turbocharged engine. Stiffer suspension and modified steering for sportier handling and improved traction. You will remember that the Juke R visited the Middle East not so long ago. It will be interesting to see how much of the original Juke R has been retained or bettered as this hot rocket goes into mainstream production.
Power comes from a modified version of Nissan’s acclaimed 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine. Two models – front-wheel-drive with a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive with CVT and 7-speed manual mode are being offered in Europe.
Keeping in mind that the Nissan Juke R concept was first showcased to the world in Dubai early last year, there is a high probability that the Juke Nismo version hits the streets in Middle East.
